No cars on the Île de Bréhat
Unlike other Breton islands, the circulation of motorized vehicles is prohibited for visitors in Bréhat. Only permanent residents, certain public services and people with reduced mobility who have authorization may circulate with a vehicle.
This characteristic gives the island its calm and its authenticity. Once you disembark from the ferry, you should therefore favour gentle means of transport to travel through the flower-lined streets and coastal paths.
Cycling: the ideal way to explore Bréhat
The bicycle is undoubtedly the most practical way to visit the Île de Bréhat. With only 3.5 km long and 1.5 km wide, the main island can easily be explored by bicycle, taking the time to admire the panoramas and make stops.
Several bike rental shops are present near the Port-Clos (ferry arrival point) and offer various models: classic bikes, electric bikes, or even children's bikes. The prices are affordable and allow you to explore the island at your own pace.
Walking: ideal for enjoying the scenery
Bréhat is also a paradise for hikers. Numerous marked trails crisscross the island, allowing access to the most iconic beaches, hamlets, and viewpoints.
